Why Should You Attend:
In response to the Crimean crisis and the subsequent annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation in 2014, several governments, including the United States, imposed comprehensive, “country-based” sanctions on Russia and the Crimea region of Ukraine. These sanctions were the fourth sanctions-related executive order by President Obama with respect to the situation in Ukraine.
Since 2014, the U.S. has imposed several rounds of sanctions on Russia, including the additional pressure placed on Russia in early 2017 when the Trump administration unveiled sanctions on more than three dozen additional individuals and organizations that have participated in the country’s incursion in Ukraine.
This webcast will take a deeper dive into the U.S. sanctions on Russia and the Crimea region and will outline suggestions to strengthen your compliance program to effectively manage and monitor the ever-changing regulations effecting the Crimea region of Ukraine.
