Leela Barham is an independent health economist and policy expert. She has worked on issues affecting the health care system and the pharmaceutical industry for over a decade.

Her work on the pharmaceutical industry has ranged from supporting a major research based pharmaceutical company on negotiations of the UK's Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS) to working with patient groups as they shape and influence policy that affects market access. She has worked beyond the UK too; working with others to benchmark countries Health Technology Assessment (HTA) systems as well as on issues affecting all markets including transparency.

She has a MSc in health economics from York University and a BSc in Economics from Nottingham University.
