Why Should You Attend:
State utility regulators, energy offices, and environmental agencies with the responsibility to develop Clean Power Plans are looking for the most cost-effective compliance options. Whether your state has sunk smart grid costs or is currently considering utility investment proposals, smart grid capabilities represent an option that should be evaluated for inclusion in Clean Power Plans.
This webcast will help states determine the most appropriate role for smart grids in their Clean Power Plans and how best to execute the smart grid plan components of their plans.

Topic Background:
The EPA has published its final 111(d) rule. Though legal challenges are likely, the focus of most state utility regulators, energy officials, and environmental agencies will now shift to compliance plan development. The final 111(d) rule offers states wide latitude in developing Clean Power Plans, and refers specifically to smart grid technologies. Whether your state has invested heavily in smart grids, or is currently considering utility investment requests, you need to know the smart grid’s potential to satisfy significant portions of greenhouse gas reductions goals at low (or even zero) cost to consumers and businesses. Though the smart grid is no silver bullet, its Clean Power Plan potential is real, measurable, and not to be overlooked.”
